Individual Case Management

Sometimes when we are managing large staff or teams, we forget that the teams are comprised of individuals, and people. Unique individuals with their own beleifs, cares and wants. Thus it is important to keep this point in mind, which is the subject of toda’ys article. Individual care management. What does this mean exactly? It means, that on some level you should pay attention to the individuals which make up your team and or staff. This will help you better understand them,  and if you understand people as individuals which comprise your team, they will much easier to manage and even lead to an extent.

Well you all know how I like to keep my own files. Having a complete file on each of my employees or staff individuals in some drawer case somewhere. These individual files could have a profile of my individual staff. In this profile could be information such as their work history, hobbies, interests, etc. This profile would help me in understanding the individual on my team/staff better, and in turn would allow me to place them properly within the framework of the company. Always keep in mind the persons experience, knowledge and even interests, to help you better understand them which in turn helps you better manage them. The individual makes up the whole, and the whole males up the departments, which in turn makes up the company.
